 Today is also a festival in China, Yuan Xiao Jie. Yuan Xiao is a  kind of food which is special for the festival. When I was a little girl, my mother always made it with sweet potato, the food made me expect the festival the whole year.

Lantern is another thing related to the festival in my memory,  my mother made it for me with some bamboo sticks and color paper. she banded the stick together and made it in a simple but special shape in three dimension, and then pasted the color paper. sometimes she  cut a bird or a flower with another color and paste it in every face. she took a carrot and made it very short, dig a pit in one face and poured some oil and put a short rope in the hole, lighting  the rope, then she put it into the three dimensional shape carefully. with a stick, she gave it to me, with the lantern, I went out to meet some friends and showed them how beautiful the lantern was.

 in my memory, it was always cold at the beginning, and treasure the  lantern very much. but a few minutes later, we all forgot the cold and played together, sometimes the lantern will be burned, we warm  our hand with the fire with sorry in one heart of us. normal it was my lantern that is burned.......

And now I live in a big city, I don't know how the citizen spend the festival, and I don't know what I should make for the memory of my son for the special festival of the city, I can not feel the pulse  
of the city,  the city is others; I go too far from my memory of the festival when the weather was cold but with a warm memory in my heart. I don't know if the Chinese in Antwerp still have a warm   
memory like me in the special festival.

I wander in the world, looking for a place for my heart to stay, but  my heart is always staying in the past.
